Today in Maths we looked at measurement and some standard units.... centimetre, millimetre, metre and kilometre. Then we talked about which we would use to measure certain things. One example was that we would use metres to measure material mum needed to make a skirt, we would use centimetres to measure across our Maths book and kilometres to measure distance in the car. Once we had done that we talked a bit about non-standard units of measurement.... that's where the fun began. We used both large and small marshmallows to measure lines with. Once we had counted how many it took to go across four different lines we were allowed to EAT them!!! No wonder we all love Maths in Room 22 :-)
(and that's how you use marshmallows in Maths)
Heheh we did that!
